HC Deb 04 March 1986 vol 93 c117W
97. Mr. Bellingham

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what discussions he has had with teaching unions and education authorities about the possibility of the adoption of a no-disruption policy by groups of teachers.

Sir Keith Joseph

My discussions with local authority employers and teacher unions have often covered the question of a bargain which would bring a lasting end to disruption, but a no-disruption agreement has not been specifically discussed. I am aware, of course, that the Professional Association of Teachers has a general policy of not engaging in disruption.
