§ Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make available in the Library of the 47W House the form or forms which will have to be completed with (a) a project and (b) a personal licence application in respect of animal experimentation.
§ Mr. MellorApplication forms for both personal and project licences are in preparation, and will in due course be published in an appendix to the Home Office guidance note which has already been made available in draft form.
§ Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what checks will be carried out upon the details contained in all application forms for (a) a project licence and (b) a personal licence in respect of animal experimentation.
§ Mr. MellorUnder clause 9(1) of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Bill, my right hon. Friend, before granting an application for a personal or project licence, must consult an inspector, and may also consult an assessor or the Animal Procedures Committee, or both. All applications will be closely scrutinised.
