HC Deb 16 June 1986 vol 99 c434W
Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he intends the Stalker report to be discussed by the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Council; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Tom King

The report of the inquiry is submitted to the Chief constable of the Royal Ulster Constabulary who in turn forwards it to the Director of Public Prosecutions for Northern Ireland for his directions. The Government, and therefore the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Conference, have no locus in this process.
