§ Mr. Chopeasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a further statement on the progress made by health authorities on competitive tendering in the fields of catering, cleaning and laundry and give details in each case as to whether contracts have been awarded in-house or to outside contractors.
§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will publish in the Official Report details of the progress made by district health authorities in putting their services out to tender in the manner of the answer given on 14 April, Official Report, columns 273–280;
(2) if he will name for each tendering exercise of which his Department is aware and which was completed since his answer of 14 April, Official Report, columns 279–286, the health authority, the hospital concerned and the successful tenderer.
