§ Mr. EggarMy right hon. and learned Friend did not discuss the Channel tunnel in detail with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, M. Raimond, when they met on 10 June. However, the matter was discussed between my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport and his French colleague on 9 June, when they both welcomed the progress that was being made.
