HC Deb 12 June 1986 vol 99 c243W
Mr. D. E. Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many of the local education authorities in Wales have established sixth-form colleges during the last five years and how many before that; and what proportion of the sixth-form students in each education authority receive their education in sixth form colleges.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

There is one sixth-form college in Clwyd, established prior to 1981, whose students at January 1985 accounted for 17.5 per cent. of the county's total school population aged 16 and over.
