§ Sir George YoungI have no such plans at present. The key question is what effect, if any, the ruling could have on the way in which local authorities carry out their responsibilities. We shall be monitoring the position through our regular quarterly statistics and through a research study which is just starting on the operation of the legislation by local authorities.
