§ Mr. Chris PattenThe most recent representation received on this subject was from the local authority associations in a letter dated 3 February 1986, which argued for the repeal of the RTA to allow the creation of new negotiating machinery linking teachers' pay with other conditions of service. The issue is currently under consideration in the talks at ACAS between management and unions.
