HC Deb 09 June 1986 vol 99 cc39-40W
Mr. Cohen

asked the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the answer of 15 April, Official Report, column 327, if, when he next meets the chairman of British Rail, he will raise with him the extent to which London boroughs are exploring with British Rail various possibilities for improving disabled passenger facilities at stations in their areas, under section 59 of the London Regional Transport Act 1984; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. David Mitchell

No. This is a matter between the boroughs and the British Railways Board. As I said in my previous reply to the hon. Gentleman, I welcome the fact that British Rail are exploring possibilities with the London boroughs for improving facilities for disabled passengers.
