§ Mr. Humeasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give details of the courses available in each Government training centre in Northern Ireland, indicating the uptake of each course and the number of staff employed in each course.
§ Dr. BoysonThe table indicates the courses available at each training centre and the number of persons entering training during the year ended 31 March 1986.
Each course is manned by one instructor per class of 10–12 trainees and all centres have additional instructional staff to cover courses in the event of sickness, annual leave and so on.

§ Mr. Humeasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what account is taken of local need, population distribution and fair employment aims in deciding the allocation of courses and resources among Government training centres.
§ Dr. BoysonThe allocation of courses and resources at training centres is based on the needs of industry, industrial promotion and of individuals in the areas which the centres serve. In allocating such courses and resources the Government are concerned to ensure equality of opportunity of access to training in accordance with the principles of fair employment legislation.
