asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has any plans to amend the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Scotland) Order 1972 in the light of the Property Advisory Board's report on the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1972, in relation to England and Wales; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. and learned Friend will consider the need for a revision of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Scotland) Order 1973 in the light of the outcome of the further consultations to be undertaken by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment on changes to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1972 which were announced in the White Paper "Building Businesses … Not Barriers" (Cmnd 9794).
