What new initiatives are envisaged to implement United Nations resolution 425 and related resolutions, and to support United Nations forces in the Lebanon, now that the United Kingdom has assumed the presidency of the Council of the European Communities.
§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)We and our EC partners will continue to support UN efforts to promote progress towards a completion of Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon and deployment of UNIFIL to the international border in accordance with UN Security Council resolution 425.
