What progress they have made in implementing the Reservoirs Act 1975.
§ Lord EltonThe Reservoirs Act 1975 was fully implemented in Great Britain on 1st April 1986 except in the areas of the former GLC and metropolitan county councils. In these areas the London borough and metropolitan district councils will be the enforcement authorities and implementation is at a stage where they are gathering information for their registers of reservoirs. Full implementation is planned for 1st April 1987 and in the meantime the Reservoirs (Safety Provisions) Act 1930 with its similar provision for inspection remains in force.
