HC Deb 25 July 1986 vol 102 cc557-8W
Mr. Onslow

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what losses in central Government funding Woking borough council ratepayers can expect to suffer, following that council's decision to reduce council house rents by an average of 50p per week.

Mr. Waldegrave

The result could be a loss of block grant of up to £71,000 in 1986–87, and a substantially larger amount in a full year, although this will depend on whether the council make offsetting reductions in expenditure or balances.
