asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will specify the derived emergency reference levels that are currently in use in the United Kingdom for meat produce.

Recent action in relation to meat has not been based upon derived emergency reference levels but took account of recommendations by a group of radiological experts from within the European Community.
