§ Mr. WhitneyLocal social services authorities in England have responsibility for the training of their home helps and home help organisers and it is normal practice for newly recruited home helps to receive some in-service training. No figures are collected centrally to show the numbers in post who have received training. The local government training board has recently developed a new diploma in domiciliary care management and training material for home help organisers and home helps.
