asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to ensure that the London Docklands Development Corporation complies with the code of practice concerning consultation with local authorities, as required by section 140 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 in respect of planning applications relating to the proposed STOL airport in the Royal docks.

The corporation has informed my Department of the steps it is taking to comply with the code of practice in respect of planning applications relating to STOLport, and I am satisfied.
