§ Mr. MellorThree prisoners were transferred from England and Wales to Northern Ireland during the first six months of 1986. Two of these transfers were under section 26 of the Criminal Justice Act 1961 (permanent transfer) and one under section 27 (temporary transfer). Two prisoners were transferred to England and Wales from Northern Ireland under section 27.
