HC Deb 21 July 1986 vol 102 c23W
Mr. Best

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the earliest time after monitoring radiocaesium levels in sheep and fodder crops that the results can be made known to the individual farmers concerned; what advance notice of monitoring is given to farmers; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Nicholas Edwards

Every effort is made to agree with farmers one day in advance that samples should be taken for monitoring. Results of monitoring are normally available to the farmers concerned within three to four days.
