§ Mr. Giles ShawI understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, who has responsibility for establishing consultative arrangements throughout the Metropolitan police district, that community/police consultative groups have been established in 35 of the 40 London boroughs. The cost involved in running these groups is met from the Metropolitan police fund and is estimated for the current financial year at £327,000.
