Mr. Meacher

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will update the information on bed numbers given in his answer of 1 July 1985, Official Report, column 49, so as to give data for 1985 and 1986 to date.

I shall let the hon. Member have such information as can be obtained without incurring disproportionate cost as soon as possible.
