asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many firms represented the upper half of retail sales in the United Kingdom in 1985.

No estimate is yet available for 1985. The final estimate for 1984 is that the largest 107 individual companies accounted for one half of retail sales in Great Britain.
