§ Sir John Farrasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is his estimate of the daily average throughout the year of fishing vessels working in the 200 mile exclusion zone around the Falkland Islands.
§ Mr. EggarFor the period May 1985 to April 1986 we estimate that a daily average of 57 fishing vessels, including trawlers, squid jiggers and reefers, were present in the Falkland Islands protection zone.
