Mr. Clelland

asked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will discuss with the chairman of British Nuclear Fuels Ltd. the implications for standards of quality and safety of the proposed closure of Northern Engineering International Nuclear Systems, Gateshead, and the consequential transfer to other suppliers of 11 of a 15-module order for the thermal oxide reprocessing plant at Sellafield, currently in production; and if he will make a statement.
