§ Mr. EggarThere are no plans to develop the work of the British Council as such, as a result of Britain's withdrawal from UNESCO, but as my right hon. Friend the Minister for Overseas Development indicated in his reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Lindsey, East (Sir P. Tapsell) on 23 January, the volume of work done by the British Council on behalf of the ODA in support of education, will increase.
