§ Mr. Gordon Brownasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list for each year until 1989 his estimate in real terms at 1985 prices, of expenditure on (a) regional development grants and (b) regional selective assistance; if he will list expenditure on both in 1979–80 and 1984–85 at 1985 prices; and if he will provide an estimate of expenditure on regional development grant and selective assistance for each regional area for 1979–80, 1984–85, 1987–88 and 1988–89.
