§ Mr. Alan ClarkThe following table gives, for the dates specified, the estimated number of employees in employment in the aerospace equipment manufacturing and repairing industry in Great Britain (figures are not available for the United Kingdom for some of the years). The Department's employment statistics are analysed according to the Standard Industrial Classification. The figures for June 1966 to June 1981 are for minimum list heading 383 of the 1968 SIC, while those for June 1982 to June 1985 are for activity heading 3640 of the 1980 SIC. The figures for September 1981 are given on both bases.
