Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what plans exist to safeguard the Greater London council research library's ACOMPLINE databases;

(2) if he will make a statement on the future of the Greater London council research library.

These are matters for the boroughs, together with the London Residuary Body which will be taking on the GLC's central computing services.
