§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he plans to end the supply of National Health Service glasses through the hospital eye service;
(2) what arrangements he intends to make for patients in the hospital eye service when supplies of National Health Service glasses through the general ophthalmic service end in July.
§ Mr. Hayhoe[pursuant to his reply, 26 February 1986 c. 610.]: Arrangements for dispensing glasses in the hospital eye service following the planned introduction of a voucher system to replace dispensing in the general ophthalmic services are under consideration. There will shortly be consultation on the proposals.
