HC Deb 26 February 1986 vol 92 cc548-9W
45. Mr. Wallace

asked the Solicitor-General for Scotland when the Lord Advocate last met members of the Scottish Law Commission to discuss reform of the law in relation to public order.

The Solicitor-General for Scotland

In the course of a recent meeting with the chairman of the Scottish Law Commission my noble and learned Friend the Lord Advocate discussed the commission's work on the law of mobbing and rioting. Subsequently the chairman has written to the Lord Advocate advising him that the Commission has decided not to publish a report for the time being. I am arranging for a copy of the letter to be placed in the Library.
