HL Deb 24 February 1986 vol 471 c928WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will publish regularly figures for airborne and seaborne radioactivity from the two monitoring stations established last year on the coast of North Down, and if not, why not.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (Lord Elton)

Airborne and sea-spray measurements of the levels of radioactivity on the coast of North Down are being undertaken by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority under contract for the Department of the Environment. A final report on the study will be submitted to the department and will be published in about a year.
