HC Deb 20 February 1986 vol 92 c347W
Mr. Gordon Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what money budgeted for, or originally allocated to, the Scottish Development Agency budget is now being employed to fund regional selective assistance or regional development grant payments.

Mr. Allan Stewart

No money specifically allocated to the Scottish Development Agency has been employed in this way. As my right hon. Friend the then Secretary of State explained in answer to my hon. Friend the Member for Cunninghame, North (Mr. Corrie) on 11 November at column 68, the formerly announced increase of £6,845,000 in the cash limit for vote XV,3 (Regional and general industrial support Scotland), as a whole, was cancelled as a contribution towards the increase in provision for vote XV,5 (Regional Assistance, Scotland).
