§ The Secretary of State for Employment (Lord Young of Graffham)A comparison of public expenditure cash plans and outturns was contained in Table 1.9 of the 1986 public expenditure White Paper (Cmnd 9702). This went back to 1980–81; for earlier years expenditure was planned on a volume basis and comparable outturn figures are not readily available. The table indicates the publications from which the figures were derived.
