§ Mr. Irvingasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what arrangements have been made with regard to the provision of medical assistance in Spain and Portugal for citizens of the other member states of the European Community; and if he will make a statement;
(2) what progress has been made with regard to the integration of health services in the member States of the European Community; and if he will make a statement on Community plans to provide free and uniform medical assistance for citizens throughout the member states.
§ Mr. WhitneyUnder the European Community reciprocal health care arrangements, nationals of a310W centre. The Department also operates the Committee on Safety of Medicines' arrangements for monitoring adverse reactions to medicinal products (literature monitoring and the yellow card system). These warning arrangements apply to imported products as well as to those originating in the United Kingdom.
