HC Deb 18 February 1986 vol 92 c97W
Q60. Mr. Latham

asked the Prime Minister whether she will make a statement on the latest consultations with, and information which she has had from, President Reagan's Administration regarding the arms control negotiations in Geneva.

The Prime Minister

We remain in close and regular touch with the United States Administration on the arms control negotiations in. Geneva. The most recent consultations took place at the North Atlantic Council meeting on 3 February when the three United States negotiators briefed the council on the present state of the negotiations. Ambassador Paul Nitze, special adviser on arms control to Secretary of State Shultz, called on me on 5 February, when we discussed the latest Gorbachev proposals and the Geneva negotiations.
