§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he expects to publish a White Paper or other document stating the implications of and Government response to the draft Single European Act dated 27 January 1986.
§ Mr. RentonThe Single European Act will be published as a Command Paper following signature by all member states. We intend subsequently to introduce a Bill to make the necessary changes to the European Communities Act 1972. There will be an opportunity for full discussion of the implications of the Single European Act during the passage of the Bill.
