§ Mr. Tom KingSubject to Parliamentary approval to the necessary Supplementary Estimate the cash limit for the Northern Ireland Office law, order, protective and miscellaneous services vote—class XVII, vote 1—for 1985–86 is being increased by £2,500,000 from £434,682,000 to £437,182,000 to meet additional expenditure arising from a higher level of police overtime activity and increased costs associated with recent political developments in Northern Ireland. The increase is being met from the reserve and therefore does not add to the total of public expenditure.
