§ Mr. Chris Smithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list, for each of the years 1983, 1984, and 1985 those planning applications in which he overturned the recommendation of an inspector following a public inquiry; for each application what is the title and nature of the application, the name of the applicant, the inspector's recommendation and Secretary of State's decision; and if he will give a brief reason for his decision in each case.
§ Mr. TraceySome of this information, particularly in relation to section 36 appeals in 1983, cannot be provided without disproportionate cost. I shall write to the hon. Member with such information as is readily available.
