Mr. Foulkes

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what United Kingdom naval vessels will be participating in the RIMPAC naval exercise; what is the scope, nature and purpose of the exercise; what other countries will be participating; and if he will make a statement.

The United Kingdom surface ships taking part in Exercise RIMPAC are planned to be Her Majesty's Ships Illustrious, Beaver, Manchester and Amazon, and the RFAs Olmeda, Bayleaf an Fort Grange. This exercise is sponsored by the United States Navy and the release of public information about it is a matter for the USN.
