asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will consider the transport supplementary grant for the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive joint board.

Transport supplementary grant is no longer paid in respect of public transport expenditure. Under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1985 the South Yorkshire passenger transport joint board and other new authorities will receive block grant under the same terms as local authorities generally.
