§ The Solicitor-GeneralThe Law officers have a supervisory responsibility for the conduct of international legal proceedings to which the United Kingdom is a party. The Attorney-General is therefore taking a close interest in these proceedings and has nominated experienced leading counsel to assist in the preparation of the United Kingdom's case and to appear on behalf of the United Kingdom at the oral hearing.
