Information covering all research projects in this field is not available centrally. My Department has awarded grants totalling over £200,000 to seven current research projects related to drug misuse of which approximately £60,000 will be spent in the current financial year.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many deaths were recorded as due to drug taking in Scotland in the last calendar year for which figures are available.

that reason work is in hand to develop an improved measure of capacity, reflecting both actual accommodation and the particular requirements of the range of course offered by an individual college. Using present data on net capacity, the position for the 1985–86 academic session is as follows:
