asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when next he expects to visit Cumbernauld new town.

My right hon. and learned Friend visited Cumbernauld on 20 October this year when he opened Seaboard Lloyd's new factory in the town. He has no immediate plans for a further visit. However, I plan to visit Cumbernauld on 27 March next year.
