§ Mr. LangThe age of the victims of crimes and offences is not included in the statistics on court proceedings collected by the Scottish Home and Health Department. However, two of the categories in the classification of crimes and offences used in the statistics relate specifically to some form of sexual abuse of children. Figures for these categories are given in the table.
