§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe Association of Chief Police Officers has welcomed the theme of the Department of Transport's Christmas publicity campaign against drinking and driving. Decisions on the deployment of resources are a matter for individual chief officers of police, and the information requested could be obtained only at disproportionate cost, but the police service is committed to enforcing the law on drinking and driving all the year round.
