HL Deb 17 December 1986 vol 483 c264WA
The Earl of Northesk

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, and in what circumstances, crime prevention advice by the police is chargeable to members of the public, social and sports clubs, businesses or any other organisations.

The Earl of Caithness

Crime prevention advice is offered by the police to individuals and organisations without any direct charge being made. This is considered part of their normal policing duties.
