§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales what applications he has received from Arfon borough council for urban aid for 1987–88; how much of this sum refers to projects for the improvement of parking facilities on council estates in the Caernarfon area; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsArfon borough council has submitted 13 urban programme applications for consideration for 1987–88 amounting to £689,339; three applications amounting to £77,000 are in respect of projects to improve parking facilities on council estates in the Caernarfon area. These applications, together with all other bids received from Welsh local authorities, are currently being assessed and I expect to announce my decisions early in 1987.
