§ Mr. Dubsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry (1) if he has met the management of Rolls-Royce to discuss the proposed closure of the Rolls-Royce plant in Hatfield; and if he will make a statement;
(2) if his Department has been notified of the expected number of jobs that will be lost following the closure of the Rolls-Royce plant in Hatfield; and how many of these the company expects to lose through compulsory redundancy.
§ Mr. PattieThis is a matter for the board of Rolls-Royce plc. I understand however that there will be no compulsory redundancies as a result of the integration of the Hatfield test facility in the Leavesden site.
