Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has had fom the Irish Government expressing opposition to the dumping of radio active material in the Irish sea.

Mr. Eggar

None; but the Irish Prime Minister expressed concern about the dischage of radioactive material from Sellafield when he met my right honourable Friend the Prime Minister in the margins of the European Council on 6 December.
