HC Deb 04 December 1986 vol 106 c722W
Mr. McLoughlin

asked the Attorney-General what decision the Government has taken in regard to appealing against the judgment of the High Court in Dublin in respect of the publication of the book "One Girl's War".

The Attorney-General

Having taken counsel's advice in Dublin, the Government have decided not to appeal against yesterday's judgment of the High Court in Dublin. This judgment, for reasons based primarily on the constitution of the Republic, rejected the Attorney-General's application for an injunction to restrain publication of the book by Joan Miller.
